SHOW STIGMA THE FINGER

OOH campaign

Hot Octopuss wanted to build a creative campaign to launch its new toy – a revolutionary finger toy – DiGiT. This wasn’t just about selling the product though, but about continuing the brand’s mission, kickstarting conversations, breaking down taboos and igniting a movement that would stimulate people to take action. To answer the brief Show Stigma the Finger was created – a campaign that shined the light on stigmas standing in the way of women achieving sexual fulfilment.

 

Collaborating with world-renowned multi-disciplinary artist Aleksandra Karpowicz who is famous for shooting the naked body as a work of art, the campaign starred six brave activists wearing nothing but the middle finger and would go on to be banned by ad authorities. Achieving widespread press coverage and social media support, most importantly, it highlighted and broke down prejudices and phobias standing in the way of women achieving healthy and happy sex lives.
